Nam Hangang - Korean Food Chef Recruitment
## 1. Job Summary
Nam hangang, located in Riverton, is seeking a passionate and experienced Korean Food Chef to join our culinary team.
You will oversee the kitchen operations, ensure the highest quality of traditional and modern Korean cuisine, and lead a diverse team.
Effective bilingual communication is essential for daily operations and team collaboration.
## 2. Responsibilities
* Kitchen Operations: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, food preparation, and cooking in accordance with WA food safety standards.
* Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation based on authentic and modern Korean recipes.
* Inventory & Cost Control: Manage stock control, ordering, food wastage minimized, and food cost efficiency.
* Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring a safe and positive team environment.
* Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with WA OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) regulations and food hygiene laws.
## 3. Qualifications & Requirements
***Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of commercial cooking experience in Korean restaurants.
***Language Skills:** Professional proficiency in both English and Korean (Must be able to communicate effectively with multinational staff and suppliers).
Certifications:
* Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent international qualification).
Approved *Food Safety Supervisor (FSS)** certificate valid in Western Australia.
* Work Visa: Valid working rights in Australia
* Flexibility: Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
## 4. Preferred Skills
*Experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume hospitality environment.
* Strong understanding of modern food trends integrated with Korean flavours.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

* Remuneration: Competitive salary packaging in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award or negotiated above-award salary based on experience + Superannuation
