This position sits within a team providing legal services and policy advice on all gambling related matters to the VGCCC and the Commission.

Our Opportunity
As a Solicitor you will provide high-quality legal advice and support across a broad range of gambling regulatory, administrative law and litigation matters. Working in a dynamic and evolving environment, you will partner with operational divisions and senior stakeholders to deliver practical legal solutions, support investigations and prosecutions and prepare matters for tribunal and court proceedings.
To be successful in this position you will have:

Demonstrated experience providing high-quality legal advice, particularly in statutory interpretation, administrative law and the application of legislation within a complex regulatory environment.

Proven ability to manage legal matters independently, balancing competing priorities and delivering accurate, practical and timely outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Strong advocacy and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience preparing matters for tribunals or courts and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Sound judgement, analytical capability and legal problem-solving skills, enabling you to navigate complex issues, identify risks and contribute to effective regulatory decision-making
