Are you a passionate cook who loves creating nutritious, delicious meals for little ones? We're on the lookout for a Centre Cook to join a
vibrant, much-loved childcare service in the Inner West — a place where good food and good care go hand in hand. Working
5 hours a day,
5 days a week, you'll have the chance to bring your culinary flair to a kitchen that's genuinely valued by the whole team.
About the Role
Step into a kitchen that's yours to run. You'll take ownership of planning and preparing fresh, wholesome meals and snacks in line with the National Quality Framework and dietary requirements — no two days quite the same. Working closely with a warm, dedicated team of educators, you'll ensure every child's nutritional needs (including allergies and cultural preferences) are catered for, all while helping shape healthy eating habits that will stick with these little ones for life. It's cooking with genuine purpose, in a role where your work truly matters.
What You'll Bring
- Experience cooking in a childcare, aged care, or commercial kitchen setting (ECEC experience preferred)
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management practices
- A current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- A valid NSW Working With Children Check
- A genuine interest in child nutrition and wellbeing
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a kitchen independently
