What you’ll do:
Based at our global headquarters in Brisbane, this position owns and integrates cost, schedule, risk, progress measurement, and performance reporting across all Capital & Facilities & Assets (C&FA) and Major Maintenance Events in Midstream assets. Reporting to the Senior Manager C&FA and Turnarounds within the Midstream & Energy Solutions division, you will act as a trusted adviser to Project Execution Leads on delivery performance and manage a centralised projects portfolio for Midstream.
Key accountabilities include:

Leading the project controls function integrating cost, schedule, risk, change, and progress into a single source of truth

Establishing and maintaining project budgets, control estimates, and cost baselines, including management of AFE/TIC, commitments, accruals, and cashflow
-
Providing forecasting accuracy and variance analysis, and developing monthly cost reports including Latest Estimates for all projects
-
Developing and assuring integrated, logic-linked schedules, reviewing contractor schedules for risk and critical path integrity

Monitoring progress and managing schedule variance, float erosion, and recovery plans, supporting milestone assurance for annual budget timelines and stage gates
-
Defining and implementing Earned Value Management (EVM) and progress rules, validating physical progress against cost and schedule claims

Establishing robust change control processes, identifying and quantifying scope, cost, and schedule changes, and managing contingency drawdown strategies

Reviewing contractor progress claims and schedule updates, challenging assumptions, productivity, and logic where required

Ensuring alignment to Santos Delegation of Authority (DOA) process and strong governance to Santos Finance principles

Ensuring compliance with Santos Management System (SMS) and Corporate Governance and Safety requirements
What you’ll bring:
You will be experienced in:

Extensive experience in project controls, project services, or project management within relevant industry
-
Capital project delivery with cost control and commercial experience
-
Scheduling and planning with risk, change, and contingency management experience
-
Contractor and EPC interface experience
-
Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6
-
SAP cost control and financial interfaces, Power BI, and Excel for reporting and analytics
You will hold:

Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification
-
Primavera P6 advanced user certification or certified training
