About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, trade-qualified Commercial Electrician specializing in fast-paced retail and commercial shopfitting. You will lead and execute electrical installations for new tenancies across Sydney, ensuring premium quality work delivered to strict handover deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation: Perform rough-in and fit-off of power, lighting, switchboards, data, and communications for retail and commercial tenancies.
- Testing & Commissioning: Trace, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical faults to ensure all fixtures, signage, and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to AS/NZS 3000 standards, building codes, and company WH&S policies.
- Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with site supervisors, shopfitters, carpenters, and plumbers in a fast-paced environment.
- Site Management: Manage variations, track material usage, and report daily progress to the site supervisor.
Skills & Experience Required
- High proficiency in commercial/retail rough-ins, fit-offs, and switchboard upgrades.
- Strong diagnostic capability to trace faults and troubleshoot complex systems.
- Proven ability to interpret architectural layouts, and construction plans.
- Flexibility to work occasional night shifts or weekends to meet strict retail handover deadlines.
Qualifications
- Valid NSW Electrical Contractor (or Regular) License
- White Card & Elevated Work Platform (EWP) License
- Current valid NSW Driver’s License
- Deep working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules
Pay: $95,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
