A rare part-time opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant to join our Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety team in Sydney.

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to work in our Sydney Workplace Relations, Employment and Safety team, on a part-time basis.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Extensive diary, phone and email management and ownership of the team;
- Attend to PA duties and work independently;
- Be active on files where required;
- Ability to manage client relationships well;
- Take instructions from clients on behalf of the team;
- Preparation and reconciliation of expenses;
- Preparing pro forma legal documents and briefs to Counsel;
- Attend to e-filing of court documents;
- Opening and closing of files;
- Organising team events & functions;
- Billing; and
- File management.
You will display excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Prior litigation experience or working in an employment or workplace relations team will be highly regarded.
Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience as a legal assistant, ideally in a litigation practice group. You will be an integral member of the team who will provide superior administrative support and display an ability to think strategically and manage competing priorities for the team. You will have excellent communication skills and a client service focus. You understand the short timelines sometimes faced by the lawyers in the team and can support them in those busy times. You will be proficient in MS Word and formatting, can prioritise tasks, display initiative, and have exceptional attention to detail.
