Hamilton Island is seeking a motivated Handyperson Leading Hand to join our Maintenance team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead a team delivering high-quality maintenance and repairs across island assets, ensuring exceptional standards for our guests and stakeholders.
You’ll play a key role in coordinating daily work, supporting your team, and ensuring all maintenance is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Lead and support a team of handypersons to deliver reactive and preventative maintenance

Allocate daily work and ensure tasks are completed safely, on time and to a high standard

Attend to urgent repairs to maintain guest comfort and satisfaction

Conduct asset inspections, identifying and resolving or reporting issues

Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas, sheds, tools and equipment

Ensure accurate completion of maintenance records, job documentation and compliance paperwork

Coordinate resources and materials, including ordering non-stock items when required

Maintain strong communication with management, team members and stakeholders

Support team performance by providing guidance, direction and leadership

Step up to supervise and direct the team in the Supervisor’s absence

Proven experience in a maintenance or handyperson role, with leadership or Leading Hand experience

Strong ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
