Patrick School of the Arts is Australia’s leading industry performing arts school, offering high school and tertiary education in preparation for a successful career in dance and music theatre.
Arts High, the high school component of Patrick School of the Arts, is currently seeking a part time Academic Supervisor for their year 7 – 10 students.
Our students complete their academic education online through Virtual Schools Victoria, while also receiving elite training as dancers, singers and actors at our Prahran campus.
Academic Supervisors are responsible for supervising students during their academic work sessions, and ensuring students are staying on top of their studies.
Supervisors are not required to teach academic subjects, but rather support the students to manage their time effectively and stay on track. Therefore, candidates do not necessarily need to be qualified teachers or VIT registered.
Supervisors help students liaise with VSV teachers, help with time management plans, and are the first point of contact for any student issues. Managing student well-being is an important element of the supervisor role.
Other duties include liaising with parents, day to day administration, organising school activities and events, and running mindfulness sessions for students.

The ideal candidate would have:
- a passion for working to support young people
- experience working in a high school setting
- strong organisation, communication and administrative skills
- a current Working With Children Check
- ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- good IT skills and experience using Google Workspace and Dropbox
- a background in a pastoral care or counselling role would be advantageous
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
