We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the safe, efficient and compliant operation of a mineral processing facility, from ROM feed through crushing, grinding, gravity separation and flotation to cassiterite concentrate production, tailings management and dispatch.
Reporting to the Project Manager and Site Senior Executive (SSE), you will have overall accountability for processing production, budget, costs, people, asset performance, safety, environmental compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Lead processing operations to achieve throughput, recovery, concentrate grade, cost and production targets.

Drive plant optimisation, metallurgical performance, maintenance, reliability and asset integrity.

Ensure compliance with Queensland mining safety and health legislation, the site's SHMS and Environmental Authority requirements.

Oversee tailings, water management and environmental performance, including engagement with the Engineer of Record.

Own the processing budget, forecasting, expenditure and commercial performance.

Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team across operations, technical and trades functions.

Partner with mining, geology, maintenance and technical teams to optimise ore feed, plant performance and recovery.

Champion a strong safety culture, continuous improvement and constructive stakeholder relationships.
About You
You will be an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in mineral processing and mining operations.

8–10+ years' mineral processing experience, including 3–5 years in a superintendent or management role.

A tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.

Proven experience managing production, budgets, costs and multidisciplinary teams in a mining environment.

Strong knowledge of crushing, grinding, gravity separation, flotation and dewatering.

Experience with tin, tantalum, tungsten or cassiterite processing highly desirable.

Experience with Queensland mining safety legislation, SHMS, tailings governance and environmental compliance.

Standard 11, or ability to obtain, and a current Queensland driver's licence.

Eligibility for relevant statutory competencies such as S1, S2, S3 and G2 is highly desirable.
