About the Role
We are currently seeking reliable, professional and client-focused Aged Care Support Workers to join our team. This role involves supporting clients in their homes and community, helping them maintain independence, safety and quality of life.
We have employment opportunities available across South-East Sydney, South-West Sydney and the Illawarra/Shoalhaven region.
Duties may include:
- Personal care assistance
- Domestic assistance and light cleaning
- Meal preparation
- Community access and social support
- Transport to appointments and activities
- Medication assistance, where qualified
- Supporting clients to maintain independence at home
- Completing shift notes and reporting any concerns
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have completed one of the following qualifications:
- Certificate III in Individual Support — Ageing
- Certificate III in Individual Support — Ageing and Disability
- Certificate IV in Ageing Support, preferred
Qualifications that include medication assistance or medication management units will be highly regarded.
Previous experience in aged care, home care or community support is also highly regarded.
Please note: Applicants must have fully completed their qualification, including any mandatory practical placement requirements. We are unable to supervise students through their 120-hour practical placement.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain:
- Australian Driver Licence
- Own fully registered motor vehicle
- Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
- National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check — Employee Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Successful candidates must be:
- Available during weekdays
- Willing to commit to a minimum number of hours per week
- Reliable, consistent and professional
- Able to deliver services to a high standard
- Capable of working independently
- Motivated, proactive and client-focused
Generally, there are no night or weekend shifts, however ad hoc requirements may arise.
Pay Rate
Employment is paid in accordance with the SCHADS Award.
