We are an accounting firm based in Cranbourne West, providing accounting, taxation, bookkeeping services to a diverse range of clients.
We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, personalised service and practical advice to our clients. As our firm continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated Junior / Graduate Accountant to join our team.
This role would suit someone with approximately 2–3 years’ experience in an Australian accounting practice who is looking to continue developing their career in tax and business services.
About the Role
Your duties will include:
- Preparing individual income tax returns
- Preparing company, trust and partnership tax returns
- Assisting with BAS, IAS and GST reporting
- Preparing financial statements and year-end workpapers
- Assisting with bookkeeping, reconciliations and management reports
- Working with Xero and other accounting software
- Liaising with clients, the ATO and other third parties where required
- Assisting with SMSF work, where applicable
- Supporting the team with general tax, compliance and business services work
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- 2–3 years’ experience in an Australian accounting practice
- Experience preparing individual tax returns
- Exposure to company, trust and partnership tax returns
- Experience with Xero
- MYOB and QuickBooks experience would also be beneficial
- Good understanding of BAS, GST and basic tax compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work across multiple clients
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Salary
Salary will be negotiated based on experience, skills and qualifications.
As a guide, the role is suited to a Junior / Graduate Accountant with approximately 2–3 years’ public practice experience.
Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
