About Rawlinna
Rawlinna is located 400km east of Kalgoorlie, WA, on the western side of the Nullarbor (a remote location). Rawlinna is known as Australia’s largest operational sheep station and covers 1,000,000 hectares. The station is stocked with merino sheep and shearing is carried out annually.
About you
Your key duties and tasks
· Participate in all pre-start meetings and safety toolbox talks
· All sheep operations, including paddock work, yard work, processing and transporting, while practicing low-stress livestock handling techniques.
· Check stock watering points and maintain water facilities and pipelines.
· Monitor livestock conditioning to evaluate effectiveness of feed.
· Monitor livestock health and welfare and assist in developing and completing treatment plans.
· Collect and collate flock data and report as necessary.
· Safe operation of two-wheel motorbikes for paddock work.
· Operate motor vehicles and machinery (manual vehicles) and perform prestart checks.
· Assist with vehicle maintenance and repairs (changing tyres, oil, cleaning).
· Maintain property infrastructure.
· Perform general station maintenance.
What you will need
· A genuine interest in working and living on a very remote station.
· At least 2 years plus relevant or related experience
· Certificate I or compulsory secondary education
· Be prepared to work and live in a team environment
· Ability to ride a two-wheel motorbike.
· Skills in sheep handling and paddock work (or a willingness to learn).
· A current and valid driver's license (manual) and motorbike license (optional).

Physical Demands
This is a physically demanding job that includes both indoor and outdoor work in all types of weather and temperature environments.
This job can be physically strenuous (demanding) from time to time. You will be expected to be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push and pull various tools and equipment. You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull from 10-20 kilo's and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders.
