Have you recently completed your apprenticeship, or are you a licensed electrician looking for an opportunity to move into the growing solar and battery industry?
Solar Saving is looking for a capable electrician with a great attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Previous solar experience is not required.
You will spend your first three months working alongside an experienced solar and battery electrician, learning solar, batteries, switchboards, commissioning and job management step by step.
There is no expectation for you to walk in and immediately run jobs or manage a team. You will start with the fundamentals and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and confidence develop.
We provide hands on training, clear processes, step by step guides and ongoing support from experienced tradespeople who genuinely want to see you succeed.
What Is on Offer

- Choose between working 4 longer days or 5 standard days

Who We Are Looking For

What You Will Do
- Work alongside an experienced solar and battery electrician
- Learn to install residential and commercial solar systems
- Learn to install home and commercial battery storage systems
- Install EV chargers
- Develop your switchboard, testing and commissioning skills
- Learn how to plan installations and organise the day effectively
- Work with and support apprentices onsite
- Gradually progress into completing smaller jobs independently
- Work towards eventually leading your own installation team
- Ensure every installation meets Solar Saving’s quality standards
Requirements
- Current Queensland electrical licence
- Current driver’s licence
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and comfortable working on rooftops
- A positive attitude and openness to training and feedback
- Solar and battery experience is not required
- Solar and battery accreditation is not required, with support available for the right candidate
