SchoolWorks is a new specialist education and school supplies store helping families navigate every stage of their child’s academic journey - from primary school through to the HSC.
We’re looking for enthusiastic university students to join our team on a casual basis.
About the Role:
You’ll be much more than a retail assistant. You’ll help parents and students make informed decisions about educational resources and provide friendly guidance on:
- NSW Selective School preparation
- Opportunity Class (OC) pathway
- NAPLAN
- ICAS
- HSC subject resources
- School stationery and educational products
You’ll also:
- Assist customers in-store
- Recommend appropriate books and learning materials
- Process sales and operate the POS system
- Restock shelves and maintain attractive displays
- Help create a welcoming experience for every family
- We’d Love to Hear From You If You:
- Are currently studying at university
- Preferably attended a NSW Selective High School or have first-hand experience with the Selective, OC or HSC system
- Are confident speaking with parents and children
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Are friendly, reliable and proactive
- Can work weekends and/or after-school hours
Bonus If You Have
- Tutoring experience
- Experience in retail or customer service
- Knowledge of NSW school curriculum and exams
- A passion for education
