Join News Corp Australia as our newest Area Sales Manager for the Western Sydney territory. In this dynamic and autonomous role, you will be the driving force behind our retail newspaper sales, ensuring our iconic mastheads remain relevant, visible, and front of mind across a diverse mix of retail channels.

About the role:
As our Area Sales Manager, you will take ownership of your territory, working independently to analyse the market and execute National, State, and Regional sales priorities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Identify and implement strategic growth opportunities across existing and new retail channels. Ensure our products maintain premium visibility and availability to ensure the category remains relevant and front of mind.
Forge strong, lasting relationships with a diverse customer base, including National accounts, State-based key accounts, and independent retailers.
Champion the News Corp brand. Secure premium merchandising space, deploy branding collateral, and execute marketing campaigns to maximize our market position.
Develop and implement territory plans for the Daily Telegraph, to capitalise on local market opportunities for our customers.
Execute the call cycle priorities for new and existing customers within the territory.
Provide creative problem-solving, assist with News Corp processes (returns/allocations), and work with Retail Support and Logistics partners to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Full time role servicing a metro and regional territory
Tools of the trade provided, includes a fully maintained company car, iPad, laptop and mobile phone.
Who are you?
We are looking for a highly organised, self-motivated sales professional who thrives in a multi-channel environment.
What you bring to the table:
A deep commitment to the customer experience. You do everything in your power to ensure satisfaction and build trust.
You know how to let the numbers do the talking. You are highly capable of using business data (such as Salesforce, Power BI or similar CRM applications) to drive tangible results.
Brilliant written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-first focus.
Excellent time management and planning skills. You are highly self-managed with a sharp attention to detail.
You have the flexibility to travel and service both the metro and regional components of the Western Sydney territory.
A collaborative mindset, ready to share successes, insights, and opportunities across our State teams.
Two year’s experience in a similar role
Previous FMCG sales experience highly valued
