We’re looking for a detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Aged Care finance team, supporting key financial processes that directly impact residents, families, and frontline services.

About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations across our aged care services. This is a structured and highly regarded role focused on resident billing, compliance, and reconciliation. You’ll work across key finance systems, including PeoplePoint and D365, supporting end-to-end financial processes while providing high-quality service to internal stakeholders.
This role offers a clear scope, consistent workflows, and the opportunity to build specialist expertise in aged care finance within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end resident billing, including DAP and RAD/Bond transactions
- Process refunds, direct debits, and maintain the Bond Register
- Support monthly reconciliations and assist with financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with aged care legislation and regulatory timeframes
- Manage the finance inbox and central phone line, responding to queries from staff, residents, and families
- Maintain accurate resident accounts and financial records from admission through to discharge
- Work across systems such as PeoplePoint to manage resident data and billing processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and systems
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who combines strong attention to detail with a customer-focused approach and a commitment to high quality outcomes:
- Experience in a Finance Officer or Accounts role
- Experience with aged care systems such as PeoplePoint (or similar) is highly regarded
- Exposure to aged care, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries (desirable)
- Strong experience in reconciliations and billing processes
- A collaborative, team-focused approach with the ability to build strong relationships
- High level of accuracy with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Confidence working with finance systems and Excel-based reporting
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage queries professionally and empathetically
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
