Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analysing, implementing, and optimising mechanical systems and processes that support our operational and project requirements. You will work closely with management, project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure engineering objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with relevant standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and Development
- Design, develop, and evaluate mechanical systems, equipment, and components.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, drawings, and reports.
- Review mechanical designs to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Assess equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
Installation and Commissioning
- Coordinate and oversee installation and commissioning activities for mechanical systems and equipment.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and performance verification.
- Ensure installations are completed in accordance with engineering specifications and safety requirements.
Operations Management
- Monitor operational performance of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical support to project and operational teams.
Maintenance and Optimisation
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and recommend practical solutions.
- Improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyse engineering processes and operational systems to identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Support innovation through the evaluation of new technologies and engineering practices.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure engineering activities comply with Australian Standards, relevant regulations, and company policies.
- Participate in risk assessments and safety reviews.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all operations and projects.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, engineering records, specifications, and project reports.
- Provide regular progress updates and performance reports to management.
- Maintain accurate engineering and compliance documentation.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant Mechanical Engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, and engineering processes.
- Experience in mechanical design, installation, maintenance, and performance optimisation.
- Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organisational, planning, and project coordination abilities.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
