The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Facilities Specialist to support the delivery of facilities management services at a flagship Distribution Centre in Parkinson, Queensland.
Working closely with the Facilities Manager and a team of technicians, contractors and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities, supporting capital works, managing service providers and ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and in line with contractual commitments.
This is a dynamic role suited to a facilities, maintenance or operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the performance of a highly automated site while driving service excellence, compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Coordination – Plan, schedule and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance activities to support uninterrupted site operations
- Contractor & Service Provider Management – Coordinate vendors and contractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to required standards
- Facilities Operations – Support the delivery of facility services including maintenance, cleaning, security, waste, utilities and associated site services
- Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with operational teams, contractors, technicians and partner representatives
- Asset & Project Support – Assist with asset management activities, capital works coordination and site improvement initiatives
- Safety & Compliance – Support WHS compliance, contractor management processes, risk assessments and site safety initiatives
- Financial & Procurement Administration – Raise purchase orders, reconcile works, support budget management and monitor expenditure
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement – Maintain accurate records, utilise management systems and identify opportunities to improve operational performance
Experience & Expertise:
Essential
- Previous experience in Facilities Management, Maintenance Coordination or a similar operational role
- Strong planning, scheduling and administrative capabilities
- Experience coordinating contractors and multiple service providers
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience using maintenance management systems and business applications
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
- Qualification in Business, Administration, Facilities Management or a Technical discipline
- Experience working within distribution centres, logistics, manufacturing or industrial environments
- Experience coordinating minor capital works or facility improvement projects
- Exposure to asset management and preventative maintenance programs
- Experience managing or leading technical or trade-based teams
