THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting a
Project Engineer – Pre-Contracts based in our office in WA. Reporting to the Senior Precontracts and Development Lead, this role is primarily responsible for providing engineering and technical support throughout the tendering and project mobilisation process. The role develops construction methodologies, coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing, prepares technical submissions and support to the delivery of competitive tenders.

ore responsibilities
- Review tender documentation including drawings, specifications, scopes of work and contract documentation.
- Work collaboratively with Estimators and the Senior Bid Coordinator to deliver high-quality tender submissions.
- Prepare clear scopes of work and technical packages for subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Source, review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Attend pre-tender briefings, client meetings and site inspections as required.
- Assist with opportunity assessments and early contractor involvement activities.
- Support business development initiatives through technical input during project pursuits.
- Prepare comprehensive handover documentation following successful tenders.
- Contribute to improvements in pre-contract systems, templates and processes
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline – Essential
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Site/Project Engineer role on delivery of civil infrastructure projects with a Civil Contractor
- Practical understanding of civil construction methodologies, construction sequencing, temporary works and project delivery.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
