A Guest Service Agent (GSA) or Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests or customers in hotels, resorts, offices, hospitals, and other service businesses. Their main responsibility is to provide a welcoming experience and assist with inquiries, reservations, and administrative tasks.
Job Description
Typical responsibilities include:
- Greeting guests and visitors professionally.
- Checking guests in and out (for hotels).
- Answering phone calls and emails.
- Handling reservations and cancellations.
- Responding to guest questions and resolving complaints.
- Processing payments and issuing receipts.
- Maintaining accurate guest records.
- Coordinating with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments.
- Providing information about facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Keeping the reception area clean and organized.
Pay: $4,500.00 – $6,000.00 per month
