What you'll do
As the Principal Technology Officer, you will build, document and implement technical solutions in line with best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks, providing expert advice and recommendations on technical specialisations and their application. You will utilise appropriate design standards, methods and tools that align with agreed enterprise and solution architectures, while supporting the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation planning of IM/ICT changes. In this role, you will contribute to the evaluation and mitigation of risks associated with infrastructure changes, work collaboratively within a team of specialist technical professionals to deliver complex technology solutions, and undertake administrative and other duties as required to support operational objectives.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
Extensive experience and ability to deliver high quality ICT services to clients of eHealth Queensland, with emphasis on managing workloads, priorities and working unsupervised (NHS: drive for results).
Demonstrated ability and technical skills in the following (SFIA Code: ITOP 4, HSIN 4):
Virtualisation technologies (VMware) & Private Cloud Hosting (VMware Cloud Foundation)
Microsoft Windows Server 2019, 2022, 2025
Server Hardware (Dell)
ITSM - ITIL
High level oral and written communication skills to enable effective interaction in individual and group situations and the ability to maintain relevant system documentation and produce technical reports/documents for management (NHS: effective and strategic influencing, collaborative working).
A demonstrated high level of technical expertise in the management, configuration, monitoring and design of medium to large enterprise ICT environments with the proven ability and technical skills to support ICT services to meet agreed Service Level Agreements.
Demonstrated experience or the ability to quickly learn Service Now and ITIL Service Management processes (primarily incident / problem / change / configuration management) (SFIA Code: USUP 3; PBMG 4; CHMG 3; CFMG 3).
