Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based at Graceville, QLD, combining responsibilities of Manager, Barista, and All-rounder. Day-to-day tasks include preparing high-quality espresso-based coffees and beverages, taking customer orders, serving food, and ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. The role involves overseeing daily operations such as opening and closing procedures, managing stock levels, coordinating staff on shift, and helping maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene. The Manager / Barista / All-rounder will support and guide team members, handle customer feedback, and help streamline service during busy periods. This role requires being hands-on on the floor, assisting wherever needed to ensure smooth, efficient, and friendly service.
Qualifications
- Strong barista skills, including espresso extraction, milk texturing, and beverage presentation.
- Cafe or hospitality management experience, including overseeing shifts, delegating tasks, and supporting team performance.
- Excellent customer service abilities, with a friendly, professional manner and strong communication skills.
- Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and basic reconciliation of daily takings.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and safe work procedures in a cafe or restaurant setting.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail during busy periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working a rotating roster that include weekends and public holidays.
- Relevant hospitality qualifications (e.g., barista training, food safety or handling certificate) are highly regarded.
- Previous experience in a similar Manager / Barista / All-rounder role, particularly in a cafe environment, is an advantage.
