About Us:
Exceed Early Learning Centre is a warm, nature-based 20-place long day care service in North Epping, caring for children aged 1–5, Monday to Friday, 7:30am–6:00pm. We're currently hiring for two experienced positions:
1. Certificate III Early Childhood Educator — Full-Time (Experienced)
We're seeking an experienced Certificate III-qualified educator to join our team full-time. This role suits someone who is passionate and creative, brings fresh ideas to play-based learning, and has proven experience working confidently in a long day care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based experiences in line with the EYLF
- Build strong, genuine relationships with children and families
- Maintain accurate observations, documentation, and learning records
- Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive room environment
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive educator team
- Uphold child safe practices and child protection responsibilities at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (essential)
- Proven experience working in a long day care or similar early childhood setting
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF
- Passionate, creative, and full of ideas for engaging play-based learning
- Sound knowledge of child protection obligations and commitment to child-safe practices
- Current Working with Children Check
- First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis certification
2. Assistant Director / 2IC — Part-Time (Experienced, Compliance Focus)
We're seeking an experienced 2IC to work part-time supporting the Director with day-to-day centre operations, with a particular focus on compliance including child protection, child safe practices, and readiness against the National Quality Framework. This role suits an experienced educator confident with documentation, compliance systems, and mentoring a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director with compliance documentation and NQF/NQS preparation
- Maintain child protection and child safe policies, records, and staff training compliance
- Assist with policy review, risk assessments, and quality improvement (QIP)
- Step into Person in Day-to-Day Charge duties as required
- Mentor and support educators across the centre, including on child safe practice
- Contribute creative, play-based ideas to support strong educational outcomes
What We're Looking For:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards) Certificate III with substantial experience also considered
- Proven experience in a long day care setting, ideally in a senior or leadership capacity
- Strong understanding of the NQF, NQS Quality Areas, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience supporting compliance and QIP documentation
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and child safe standards, with experience maintaining child safe documentation (e.g. concerns registers, child safe recruitment records)
- Passionate, creative, and full of ideas for play-based learning
- Excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail
- Current Working with Children Check
- First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis certification
