About the role
As a Clinical Educator, you will support the development and capability of LDK’s care workforce through the delivery of high-quality education, training and mentoring. This role sits at the intersection of clinical practice, education and quality improvement, ensuring care teams are equipped to deliver safe, high-quality and person-centred care.
Working closely with the National Care Education Manager and Village Care teams, you will deliver education programs, support competency development and contribute to continuous improvement across care services.
This is a hands-on, collaborative role focused on embedding best practice, strengthening clinical capability and supporting consistent care delivery across all villages.
Please note that this is a part-time position requiring availability to work two rostered shifts per week on an ongoing basis.
Role responsibilities
- Operational & Strategic: Deliver education and training aligned to LDK's care education framework. Identify learning needs and contribute to program development and improvement. Travel across LDK villages and maintain flexibility to work additional hours, including annual leave coverage, to ensure continuity of education services and workforce support.
Quality & Compliance: Support compliance with the Aged Care Act and Quality Standards through training and competency development. Contribute to audit readiness and quality improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Village Care teams and Clinical Leaders to support training delivery and capability uplift. Mentor staff to translate learning into practice.
Culture and Leadership: Role model LDK values while fostering a culture of learning, accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Experience in clinical education, training or mentoring within aged care or a healthcare environment
- Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, clinical governance and best practice care (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience supporting competency development and workforce capability
- Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to coach and mentor staff to improve practice and performance
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining contemporary clinical knowledge
