About the role
Temporary full time opportunity to provide support and direction to the registered nurse and other non-registered nursing personnel in more complex situations. Additionally, in consultation with the clinical nurse and consultant this role will provide advice, support and training to the court and watch house staff on mental health issues.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Apply advanced clinical nursing expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of consumer/person-centred care across non-Queensland Health environments such as the Court House and Watch house, whilst maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to Queensland Health policies, procedures and guidelines.
Respond appropriately to, and provide support and direction to manage, sudden alterations in the health status of the consumer/person using advanced nursing assessment and intervention skills.
Provide teaching to both consumers/persons and their families to facilitate learning and enable them to move towards independence.
Utilise communication processes and systems which enhance consumer/person care delivery and unit functioning.
Practise collaboratively with the interprofessional health care team to promote the safety, security and personal integrity of individuals and groups.
