We are looking for a proactive and well-connected freelance Talent Acquisition Specialist to support hiring for a critical role within our Sydney office on a one month contract period.
You are passionate about identifying exceptional talent and know how to execute focused search assignments with pace and precision. You are comfortable mapping the market, engaging passive candidates and building high-quality shortlists across creative, communications, digital and integrated marketing disciplines.

As a freelance Talent Acquisition Specialist, you supporting hiring for a priority Sydney based role while strengthening Archetype's talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
You develop and execute a targeted sourcing strategy to identify, engage and secure high-calibre candidates for a priority Sydney-based role within the agreed hiring timeline.
You partner closely with the hiring manager to understand the role requirements, provide market insights and recommend effective sourcing strategies.
You identify and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn, referrals, industry networks and direct sourcing building high-quality shortlists for review.
You support recruitment from sourcing and screening through to interview coordination, candidate management and offer support.
You conduct market mapping, competitor research and talent benchmarking to strengthen hiring decisions and future workforce planning.
You develop and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs, ensuring high-quality candidates are readily available for permanent, contract and freelance opportunities.
You maintain accurate recruitment records, talent databases and freelancer communities, ensuring pipelines remain active, organized and up to date.
You identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, candidate experience and employer brand visibility.
Experience in talent acquisition, recruitment or executive search, ideally within an agency, professional services or fast-paced commercial environment.
Demonstrated experience sourcing senior communications talent through proactive search and direct engagement.
Strong direct sourcing capability using LinkedIn, job boards and professional networks with the ability to identify and engage passive candidates.
Proven ability to build high-quality talent pipelines and deliver strong candidate shortlists within agreed timelines.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
Strong commercial awareness and confidence interpreting talent availability, market trends and hiring challenges.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, recruitment platforms and AI tools to improve sourcing and recruitment efficiency.
