We’re looking for a friendly, experienced and reliable Part-Time Barista / Front of House Team Member to join our team at Oh Happy Day Cafe in Point Cook.
The ideal person will have at least 2–3 years of customer service experience, with previous café or hospitality experience preferred. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work and can confidently work in a busy café environment.
About the Role
This is a varied role where you’ll be involved in both barista and front-of-house operations, including:
☕ Barista
* Preparing high-quality coffee consistently
* Operating and maintaining the coffee machine and grinder
* Preparing a range of hot and cold beverages
* Ensuring coffee station is clean, organised and well stocked
* Following café recipes and quality standards
Front of House / Customer Service
* Greeting customers warmly and providing excellent service
* Taking customer orders accurately
* Operating the POS and handling payments
* Serving food and beverages
* Clearing and resetting tables
* Responding to customer questions and requests
* Maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment
General Café Duties
* Opening and/or closing duties as required
* Restocking front-of-house and service areas
* Cleaning tables, counters and equipment
* Following food safety and hygiene standards
* Supporting other team members during busy periods
* Working efficiently as part of a team
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has 2–3+ years of customer service experience
* Has previous café/barista experience preferred
* Can make quality coffee and work confidently during busy periods
* Has excellent communication and customer service skills
* Is friendly, approachable and well presented
* Is reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic
* Can multitask and remain calm under pressure
* Works well independently and as part of a team
* Has a positive attitude and is willing to help wherever needed
* Has good attention to detail
* Is available to work part-time, including weekends
