As the Data Analytics and Insights Team Leader, you'll lead a small team of analysts delivering high-quality reporting, analytics and business insights that support strategic and operational decision making across ECH.
You'll combine hands-on technical delivery with people leadership, working alongside the team to design, build and improve reports, dashboards data models and analytics solutions.
Working closely with the Digital Enablement Manager and stakeholders across the business, you'll drive data governance, digital transformation initiatives and the ongoing evolution of ECH's analytics capability.
You’ll make an impact by
- Leading and developing the analytics team, setting priorities and managing workloads to support accountable, high-quality delivery.
- Working hands-on alongside the team to design, build and improve reliable reporting, dashboards, data models and analytics that support strategic and operational decisions.
- Owning the performance and ongoing development of ECH’s analytics platform, including data models, release practices and support. Strengthening data governance, quality and compliance, while partnering with stakeholders to improve data literacy
- Leading the analytics delivery pipeline, projects and emerging technology initiatives, managing risks, dependencies and internal and external delivery partners.
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you'll need the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading analytics, reporting or business intelligence teams.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL and Power BI, with demonstrated experience developing complex reports, dashboards, data models and analytical solutions.
- Practical experience using Python or comparable analytical tools.
- Exposure to data warehousing and data lake environments, including platforms such as Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.
Experience implementing data governance, quality assurance and validation practices
We would also love you to bring the following skills:
- Experience with Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience applying AI and machine learning techniques to solve business challenges.
- Knowledge of the aged care sector or other regulated industries.
- Experience leading digital transformation or analytics enablement initiatives.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, innovation and delivering value through data
