A Qualified Carpenter is a tradesperson who has completed a carpentry apprenticeship (typically holding a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent) and is responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures and fixtures.
Typical job duties include:
Reading and interpreting building plans and drawings.
Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber and other building materials.
Constructing wall frames, roofs, floors, staircases, and decks.
Installing doors, windows, cabinetry, and other fittings.
Carrying out renovations, extensions, and repairs.
Operating hand and power tools safely.
Ensuring work complies with Australian building codes and workplace safety requirements.
Working with builders, electricians, plumbers, and other trades on construction sites.
Pay: $7,083.00 – $8,333.00 per month
