The Plant Technician - Electrical role at Origin Energy is based at the Shoalhaven Hydro Power Scheme (Kangaroo Valley, NSW), not in central Sydney. It is a hands-on power-generation maintenance position.
Main responsibilities
Perform electrical maintenance and inspections on plant equipment.
Assist with safe operation of the power station during normal operations and planned outages.
Work with technicians, operators, and contractors.
Follow permit-to-work systems, safety procedures, and environmental requirements.
Identify faults and help maintain equipment reliability.
Requirements
Electrical trade qualification (licensed electrician or equivalent).
Interest or experience in power generation, utilities, mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
Strong safety mindset.
Ability to work in a small team and communicate effectively.
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
Pay: From $8,750.00 per month
