The Role
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our national HR team on a full-time basis in our Melbourne office. In this role, you’ll take the reins on recruitment for legal support and internal firm services positions, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for candidates and Partners. You will work alongside our Talent Acquisition Lead, contributing to strategic hiring initiatives, building strong relationships across the firm, and help shape our approach to attracting top talent in legal support functions.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Driving the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for legal support and internal firm services positions nationally
- Drafting job advertisements and posting on job boards;
- Conducting interviews with prospective candidates;
- Liaising with partners and managers to coordinate recruitment needs;
- Conducting background and reference checks;
- Drafting employment contracts;
- On-boarding new employees;
- Driving the employee referral campaign via monthly recruitment updates to the firm;
- Building relationships with external recruitment agencies; and
- Assisting with any ad hoc HR activities as required the Chief Human Resources Officer and generalist HR team.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Between 1-2 years’ experience in either an agency or internal talent acquisition role. Legal experience will be highly regarded;
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or Commerce;
- Experience in an EA position or similar will be advantageous;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and create a positive client and candidate experience;
- Strong organisational skills and demonstrated experience in juggling competing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Proactive and can-do attitude; and
- Confident, polished and professional presence.
