Position Details
Reports to: Head of Marketing, Education and Partnerships
Employment Type: Full-time Location: Sydney (flexible working arrangements available in
accordance with ASA policies)
Travel: Occasional interstate travel required for events and member engagement activities.
Salary: 85K - 95K + Superannuation
Purpose of the role
The Marketing Specialist - Partnerships and Membership is responsible for identifying market
opportunities and developing, coordinating and implementing marketing initiatives across
corporate partnerships, sponsorship, membership, events and investor education programs.
The role uses market and audience insights to develop campaigns, strengthen ASA’s market
position, grow membership, support partnership and sponsorship revenue, and increase
engagement with members and investors. It combines marketing strategy and execution,
relationship management, content development and stakeholder engagement to deliver
measurable organisational growth.
Key Accountabilities
Marketing Strategy and Membership Growth
● Identify market, audience and promotional opportunities that support ASA’s membership,
partnership, event and investor education objectives.
● Develop and implement integrated marketing plans that support membership acquisition,
retention and engagement.
● Analyse member, subscriber, campaign and market data to inform audience
segmentation, messaging, channel selection and marketing priorities.
● Develop campaign concepts, content and communications across email, website, social
media and other digital channels.
● Produce member communications, investor education promotions, campaign assets and
sponsorship collateral.
● Coordinate marketing activity through ASA’s CRM, email marketing, website and social
media platforms.
● Monitor campaign performance and digital engagement data, providing insights and
recommendations to improve outcomes.
● Advise internal stakeholders on marketing activities, audience engagement and
promotional opportunities.
● Achieve agreed membership growth, engagement and campaign performance targets.
Partnership and Sponsorship Marketing
● Identify and develop corporate partnership and sponsorship opportunities that align with
ASA’s marketing and growth objectives.
● Develop partnership marketing proposals, sponsorship collateral and promotional
packages.
● Coordinate prospect engagement, partnership communications and marketing activation
plans.
● Maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, listed companies and
industry stakeholders.
● Support corporate partner and sponsor renewals through proactive engagement,
campaign delivery and demonstrated partner value.
● Develop and implement co-marketing initiatives with partners and sponsors.
● Monitor partnership and sponsorship performance against agreed measures and provide
recommendations to improve outcomes.
● Contribute to agreed corporate partnership, sponsorship and associated revenue
targets.
Events and Investor Education Marketing
● Develop and implement marketing plans for conferences, events, webinars and investor
education programs.
● Identify target audiences and recommend appropriate messaging, promotional channels
and campaign schedules.
● Develop event and education program content across email, website, social media and
partner channels.
● Coordinate with speakers, sponsors, partners and internal stakeholders to support
effective promotion and successful event delivery.
● Monitor registrations, attendance, engagement, revenue and participant feedback.
● Analyse performance results and recommend improvements to ASA’s events and
investor education offering.
● Achieve agreed event attendance, engagement and revenue targets.
Marketing Operations, Analysis and Reporting
● Maintain accurate campaign plans, marketing calendars, project plans, partnership
documentation and performance reports.
● Track marketing, membership, partnership and event performance against agreed
objectives and measures.
● Prepare regular reports on campaign performance, audience engagement, membership
growth, partnership activity and event outcomes.
● Use CRM, digital and campaign data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for
improvement.
● Assist with marketing budget tracking, supplier invoices and reconciliation relating to
campaigns, partnerships, sponsorships and events.
● Coordinate with external agencies, suppliers and service providers where required.
● Work collaboratively across ASA and contribute to broader organisational priorities.

Key Skills and Experience
● A minimum of four years’ professional marketing experience, including experience
developing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns.
● Experience in partnership marketing, sponsorship, membership marketing,
communications or stakeholder engagement is highly desirable.
● A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline, or
equivalent relevant professional experience.
● Experience identifying market and audience opportunities and using insights to inform
marketing activity.
● Experience developing campaigns across email, website, social media and other digital
channels.
● Strong communication and copywriting skills, including the ability to explain investment
concepts clearly.
● Strong relationship management and commercial skills, with a focus on achieving growth
targets.
● Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
● Proactive, creative and solutions-focused approach.
● Experience in financial services, investing, membership organisations or the not-for-profit
sector is desirable.
Technical Skills
● CRM and email marketing platforms.
● Website content-management platforms, including WordPress.
● Social media management and analytics tools.
● Digital campaign reporting and performance analytics.
● Canva or comparable content-development platforms.
● Webinar and event-management platforms.
