About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical oversight and nursing supports within an NDIS service environment. This role is ideal for a nurse with experience in disability, community, or complex care who is comfortable working outside of a hospital setting.
You will support participants with complex medical and physical needs, including epilepsy and neurological conditions, while providing clinical guidance to support workers and ensuring compliance with NDIS Practice Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and oversee clinical nursing supports for NDIS participants
- Develop, implement, and review health care plans and clinical risk assessments
- Support medication management and seizure management plans
- Provide clinical advice, education, and escalation support to support workers
- Liaise with GPs, hospitals, allied health providers, and families
- Contribute to incident management, clinical reporting, and quality improvement
- Ensure clinical documentation meets NDIS and organisational requirements
Essential Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (EN or AIN in Australia with overseas experiences may be considered)
- Experience in NDIS, disability, community nursing, or complex care
- Strong understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and clinical governance
- Experience supporting participants with complex health needs
- Current First Aid and CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- Right to work in Australia
Employment Type and Remuneration
- Casual or Part-time opportunities available
- Remuneration in accordance with the SCHADS Award, classification and pay point dependent on qualifications, experience, and role responsibilities
- Applicable penalties and allowances paid as per the Award
Work Location
- Community and in-home supports across Brisbane and Moreton Bay surrounding areas
Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
