We are seekinga Cook to work the hours 8.30am to 2.00pm - Monday to Friday on a permanent employment basis.
The successful candidate will have experience in a commercial cooking environment and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, children and families. You will develop and prepare seasonal nutritious menus and be responsible for ordering and managing food budgets.
Having a passion and positive attitude for children's food and nutrition is essential.
About Our Service:
Bridge Road Early Learning Centre is a unique early learning environment located in a heritage home in Richmond. We cater to children aged six months to five years, offering high-quality care and access to government-funded kindergarten programs. With over 15 years in the community, we’re committed to providing enriching learning experiences and maintaining strong relationships with families. We have been consistently rated "Exceeding" in all areas during our last three assessments and recognised for our innovative Science project.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Cooking experience; catering for up to 50-60 children per day. (Our preference is for candidate to have experience cooking in a childcare service)
- Knowledge of Food Safety Programs and Allergies
- Food Preparation and Food Supervision Certificates
- Working with Children Check
- Completion of Foundation Child Safety Training Course
- First Aid Certificate
- Anaphylaxis Certificate
- Strong Communication Skills
- Work references

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
