About the role
As the Social Work Professional Lead, you will provide professional governance, strategic leadership and workforce development for Social Workers across MNMH-TPCH, while maintaining an advanced clinical role within the Adult Inpatient Mental Health Service. Working closely with the Director of Social Work and multidisciplinary leaders, you will drive evidence-based practice, support service improvement initiatives and foster a culture of professional excellence.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Apply advanced-level clinical knowledge and skill regarding current Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) in mental health treatment in the provision of clinical services to individuals and groups of consumers experiencing mental health concerns and complex needs in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics and professional practice standards.
Undertake advanced-level and non-routine clinical duties including the provision of specialist clinical advice; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of complex care needs of consumers and integrating initiatives with a high degree of independence.
Provide advanced clinical advice and professional advocacy to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding issues affecting the profession and the delivery of profession and non-profession specific services across MNMH-TPCH.
Collaboratively engage with other Social Work Professional Leads to provide clinical and professional leadership and consultancy in the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within MNMH-TPCH in line with Social Work professional standards and evidence-based practice guidelines.
Lead professional governance, strategic planning, advocacy, and service improvement activities for Social Work services within MNMH-TPCH, ensuring alignment with professional standards, quality frameworks, and contemporary practice.
