Primary objective
Ensure the effective service management, operation, maintenance, and improvement of client agency business applications
through business analysis aligned with organisational priorities.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Analyse and translate business requirements into system changes, collaborate with business and technical teams,
coordinate enhancements and bug fixes, and ensure documentation, testing, and release processes are followed.
2. Coordinate the development, implementation and maintenance of enterprise and business applications to improve
service delivery and meet evolving business requirements.
3. Provide application support, diagnose and resolve system issues in consultation with clients, service providers, and
colleagues with a strong focus on maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
4. Develop and maintain documentation including design, application specifications, knowledge base and work instructions
to support system understanding, operational consistency, and continuous improvement.
5. Participate in after-hours and on-call rosters as required, following defined service quality standards, work health and
safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining business-critical applications, including conducting technical
investigations, diagnosing issues, and improving services through organisation aligned service management processes.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise systems including understanding business requirements, complex integrations,
application design and test planning using contemporary methodologies and tools.
3. Demonstrated experience with relational databases (SQL), object-oriented frameworks (.NET) and working knowledge of
Extract-Transform-Load methods.
4. Sound understanding of software development lifecycles, with proven ability to build and manage stakeholder
relationships to coordinate activities, manage application change processes and release coordination.
5. Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build productive relationships
across diverse professional and cultural groups and translating technical jargon for non-technical users.
6. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates values of being professional, accountable, honest, innovative and
respectful
Desirable
1. Appropriate qualifications in Information Technology, Business Analysis, Project Management or other relevant
discipline.
2. Certification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or other related service delivery framework
