Spark Logic Academy in Rochedale, Brisbane is looking for a reliable and experienced part-time English Teacher to join our children’s education team.
We are looking for someone who can teach primary school students and support them with reading, writing, sentence structure, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension and writing techniques.
This role is suitable for an English teacher, tutor, education student, or experienced literacy tutor who enjoys working with children and can teach in a clear, patient and structured way.
Responsibilities:
- Teach small-group English classes for primary school students
- Support students with reading, writing, vocabulary and comprehension
- Teach writing structure and writing techniques clearly
- Follow Spark Logic Academy lesson materials and teaching structure
- Adjust explanations based on each student’s level
- Help students build confidence and positive learning habits
- Provide simple feedback to parents or the academy manager
- Maintain a safe, respectful and engaging classroom environment
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience
- Experience teaching children or primary school students
- Good knowledge of the Australian school curriculum
- Strong English communication and writing skills
- Patient, reliable and child-friendly
- Comfortable teaching small groups
- Able to work part-time
- Weekend availability preferred
- Queensland Blue Card required, or must be willing and eligible to obtain one before teaching
