We're seeking an experienced
Parts & Purchasing Manager to take ownership of our procurement, inventory and stores operations. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll directly influence production performance, supplier partnerships, inventory optimisation, and operational efficiency. Core Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all procurement, stores, inventory and warehouse functions.
- Source, negotiate and secure parts, materials and specialist components to support production schedules.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted workshop operations.
- Develop and improve inventory control systems, reporting and stock accuracy processes.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships while driving value and cost efficiencies.
- Oversee receipting, inspection, storage, issuing and tracking of parts and materials.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery timeframes, quality standards and purchasing expenditure.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and inventory operations.
Requirements (Mandatory)
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in purchasing, procurement and inventory management.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end procurement processes.
- Strong inventory management and stock control experience.
- Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage supplier performance.
- Experience utilising ERP, inventory management or purchasing systems.
- Strong reporting, analytical and cost-control capabilities.
- Sound understanding of warehouse operations and inventory accuracy principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Requirements - Preferred
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business or related discipline.
- Experience within manufacturing, fabrication, automotive, heavy vehicle or industrial environments.
- Experience managing warehouse or stores operations.
- Experience supporting production-driven environments.
- Forklift Licence.
- Continuous improvement, process optimisation or supply chain improvement experience.
