Your impact
As a People & Culture Business Partner, you will work closely with leaders across the business to:
- Strengthen workforce capability and leadership effectiveness
- Manage complex employee and industrial relations matters
- Support organisational change and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and enterprise agreements
- Contribute to People & Culture strategy and organisational performance
This role is critical in embedding best practice HR and driving people outcomes in a complex, unionised environment.
What you’ll do
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted adviser to leaders on structure, capability, and workforce planning
- Coach and support leaders to uplift management capability
- Identify talent, risks, and future workforce needs aligned to business priorities
Employee & Industrial Relations
- Lead ER and IR matters, ensuring compliance with legislation and enterprise agreements
- Provide advice on performance, conduct, and workplace disputes
- Support union engagement and enterprise bargaining processes
- Represent the business in Fair Work matters where required
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and contribute to HR projects that improve employee experience and operational efficiency
- Support organisational change initiatives and provide change management guidance
- Deliver reporting and insights to internal and external stakeholders
What you’ll bring
Experience & Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline
- Strong HR business partnering experience in a complex or unionised environment
- Demonstrated experience managing ER/IR matters
Skills & Capability
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and industrial frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and coaching skills
- High-level communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution capability
- Proven ability to lead change and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- Commercial mindset with a focus on risk mitigation and performance
