Purpose
As the Director of Sales, you will have the exciting opportunity to spearhead a dynamic team that drives revenue expansion, elevates brand visibility, and optimises overall hotel performance and profitability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Executing sales strategies for the Hotel across all market segments.
- Have a complete understanding of the Hotel sales vision: its products, services, and rate structure to fulfil business objectives.
- Actively sell all attributes of the Hotel including Conference facilities and Food and Beverage features.
- Review weekly forecasts and market share reports and actively participate in ensuring business levels and market share is maintained.
- Participate and present at owner's meetings and other commercial meetings.
- Regular reporting to the GM and other key stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with the GM, Director of Revenue, Marketing, Operations and other internal key stakeholders.
- Act as primary point of contact for the hotel including the coordination and leadership of site inspections, trade events, client meetings, events and entertainment to assist conversion.
- Develop and manage long term relationships with key accounts and internal stakeholders to drive business.
- Analysing the competitor environment, reviewing account performance, identifying market opportunities and building strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Lead, train and develop sales team members.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hotel sales.
- Must possess strong leadership skills, have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, along with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry.
- Experience in working with Owners and Senior management and key internal stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership skills and able to manage a diverse team.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market trends and capitalise on emerging opportunities.
- Good understanding of hotel platforms including CVENT and Opera Cloud and other applications including Microsoft 365.
