About the role
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join a high performing, close knit and supportive CTP team in our Sydney office. The team specialise in catastrophic multimillion dollar claims involving spinal injuries, brain injuries and amputations, as well as claims involving complex liability and medical issues. This role offers the chance to work on complex and high value defendant CTP matters within a collaborative and supportive environment.
You will manage your own matters end to end, work closely with experienced practitioners and play an active role in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the ongoing growth of the practice. The role suits a confident practitioner who enjoys autonomy, strategic thinking and strong client engagement.
About you
You are a motivated and commercially minded lawyer looking to take the next step in your CTP career within a high performing team.
We are seeking a Senior Associate/Special Counsel with:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in defendant CTP insurance matters
- Strong experience managing litigated and complex matters from commencement to resolution
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear, strategic and practical legal advice
- Confidence in appearing in procedural hearings, conferences, mediations and negotiations
- Well developed time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A collaborative approach and interest in mentoring junior team members
