What you will do
In the Senior Education Officer role, you will:
Use project management techniques, methodologies, and tools (such as project management software and Gantt charts) to facilitate a range of large projects across the Senior Assessment and Certification Support Branch.
Monitor project/s progress to ensure that deliverables and milestones are met and completed using allocated resources.
Identify risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies to manage or resolve issues as pertaining to project, logistics or IT solutions.
Establish meeting schedules and facilitate team discussions about project timelines, goals and milestones, resources required, potential risks and dependencies required to meet targets and deliverables.
Prepare reports, submissions, briefings and correspondence as needed for senior officers, management, internal and external stakeholders, including reviewing and reporting on project deliverables and areas of improvement.
Participate in activities of project teams within the Senior Assessment and Certification Support Branch (e.g. Confirmation, Endorsement and other quality assurance processes that support the QCE, QCIA, Recognition and VET), encouraging continuous improvement, innovation and the adoption of best practice standards and procedures.
Using knowledge of QCE system and QCIA processes, develop resources and other materials and assist with the provision of professional learning and advice to support quality assurance processes in schools linked to the QCE, QCIA and VET.
Maintain an ongoing awareness and understanding of eligibility, categories of learning, QCE credit rules and other processes outlined in the QCE and QCIA handbook for the QCE to provide latest advice to stakeholders.
