About the Role
Angel Care WA is seeking a proactive and relationship-focused Business Development Officer to grow referral pathways, build strategic partnerships and support sustainable client acquisition across our NDIS, aged care, cleaning and community service areas. This role suits a confident communicator who understands community services, can build trust with referral partners, and can convert enquiries into appropriate service opportunities while maintaining ethical, compliant and participant-centred practice.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify and develop referral relationships with NDIS Support Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators, Plan Managers, allied health professionals, medical centres, aged care networks, CALD community groups, real estate agencies and commercial partners.
· Promote Angel Care WA services professionally through calls, meetings, email outreach, community visits, local networking and approved marketing materials.
· Maintain a structured pipeline of prospects, referral partners, leads, follow-up tasks and conversion outcomes in the organisation’s CRM or tracking system.
· Respond to new enquiries promptly and coordinate warm handover to intake, operations, rostering or management teams.
· Prepare weekly business development activity reports, including leads generated, meetings held, referral outcomes, market feedback and campaign performance.
· Support development of partnership proposals, service capability statements, referral scripts, email campaigns and community engagement initiatives.
· Represent Angel Care WA in a way that is accurate, respectful, culturally responsive and consistent with participant choice, privacy and service suitability.
· Provide market intelligence to management on service gaps, competitor activity, referral partner expectations and new growth opportunities.
What We Are Looking For
· Experience in business development, community engagement, stakeholder management, sales, client services or referral development.
· Strong professional communication skills, including phone outreach, written communication, presentation and follow-up discipline.
· Ability to build trusted relationships with community organisations, health professionals, NDIS stakeholders and commercial clients.
· Good understanding of NDIS, aged care, home care, community services or healthcare referral environments.
· High level of cultural awareness and ability to work respectfully with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
· Sound administration and CRM capability, including accurate record keeping and pipeline reporting.
· Commercial awareness balanced with ethical judgement, privacy awareness and participant-centred service practice.
Essential Selection Criteria
· Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in business development, client services, community engagement, marketing, sales or a related relationship-based role.
· Demonstrated ability to generate leads, manage follow-up activity and maintain stakeholder relationships.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in professional Australian English.
· Ability to use Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets and CRM or client tracking systems.
· Current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to attend external meetings where required.
· Ability to complete required employment checks, including National Police Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening Check if required for the role.
Desirable Criteria
· Existing relationships with NDIS Support Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators, Plan Managers, allied health providers, medical centres or community organisations in Western Australia.
· Experience working with CALD, migrant or multicultural communities.
· Knowledge of NDIS service categories, participant choice and control, service agreements and referral pathways.
· Experience with email campaigns, Google Ads lead follow-up, social media outreach or local area marketing.
· Ability to speak a language other than English.
Mandatory Checks and Training

· NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
· NDIS Code of Conduct, privacy, safeguarding, WHS and incident reporting training.
· Internal CRM, intake and service documentation training.
