Status:
Temporary, Full-Time (1.0 FTE) 8 months with the possibility of extension.
Salary range:
$87,371.38 - $91,700.48(per annum) dependent on skills, qualifications and experience.
Opportunity:
The City of Albany’s Communications Team is looking for an experienced, passionate and creative individual to take up the role of Communications Officer on an 8-month contract.
Reporting to the Communications Coordinator, this role will see you working in a dynamic role to maintain communications material for the City and generate ongoing material for a range of audiences. The role also provides support for the Communications Team, and in liaison with the Communications Coordinator, is responsible for the coordination of a range of communications activities and channels.
About You:
The successful candidate will need to have a tertiary qualification in communications or marketing with a minimum of two years relevant work experience and have previous experience in public relations/communications/engagement role. Experience in digital marketing tools, approaches and systems, developing, planning, delivery of communication and marketing projects and implementing communications and engagement plans and activities, particularly with a community focus. A proven ability to concisely and clearly deliver a broad range of communication materials, including print, online and face–to-face, to effectively meet project objectives is also required for this position.
