This is not your typical retail role.
Our Winnellie Mega Store is one of the largest Salvation Army stores in Australia, spanning more than 1,500sqm and processing thousands of donated items every day. As a result, this is a fast-paced, high-volume environment that requires energy, resilience and a genuine enjoyment of staying busy.
Success in this role requires someone who thrives in an active and ever-changing workplace, enjoys being on their feet throughout the day and can maintain productivity and enthusiasm in a high-energy environment
Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices;
Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.
Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation
Provide exceptional Customer Service
Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure.
Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures
Demonstrate TSA core values in all work related activities.
Bring energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude to the team each day.
Enjoy working in a busy, hands-on environment and thrive when there is always something to do.
Be comfortable juggling multiple tasks while maintaining pace and attention to detail.
Adapt quickly as priorities change throughout the day.
Deliver exceptional customer service while remaining positive and resilient during busy periods.
Be physically fit and comfortable undertaking manual handling activities, including moving furniture and stock cages safely and lifting bags weighing up to 15kg.
Demonstrate initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work independently when required.
Show strong self-awareness, lead by example and provide support and guidance to team members when appropriate.
Align with The Salvation Army values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration and diversity.
Be available to work shifts between 8:45am and 5:45pm, with varying shift times across these hours.
Be available to work Saturdays as part of a rotating roster.
Have flexibility to work across various locations within the retail area as required.
