Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Exec, you’ll support the C&E manager in driving the success of the department and achieving results. This role focuses driving productivity and profitability, reviewing and assessing the training of C&E staff and growing revenue streams.
- Achieve individual and team Conference & Events sales targets by converting enquiries into confirmed business.
- Build strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive repeat business and maximise revenue.
- Respond to enquiries promptly and confidently, following up opportunities to maximise conversion.
- Conduct site inspections and present tailored event solutions to secure bookings.
- Upsell accommodation, catering, AV and other services to increase revenue.
- Maintain accurate client records, bookings and sales activity in iVvy.
- Work closely with Reservations, Events and Operations to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Monitor lost business, market trends and competitor activity to improve sales performance.
- Prepare sales reports and maintain an organised pipeline of enquiries.
- Provide exceptional customer service while supporting the overall success of the Conference & Events team.
What You’ll Bring
- 1-2 years of previous experience in similar role ideally coming from the Hotels or Event companies.
- Experience in coordinating and managing end-to-end conference and event sales, with a strong focus on yield management and revenue growth.
- Skilled in designing and delivering training programs, tracking development progress, and maintaining up-to-date training resources.
- Demonstrated success in building strong industry relationships and promoting loyalty programs to enhance client engagement and retention.
- Adept at cross-functional collaboration, reporting, and strategic planning to support smooth event execution and drive departmental profitability.
- Collaborative team player skilled in working with back of house teams, providing onsite event coordination, and supporting colleagues across departments.
