Lead Civil Engineer – Energy

What you’ll do
As a Lead Civil Engineer in our Energy team based in Brisbane, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.
You will provide civil engineering leadership across a portfolio of Wind, Solar and BESS projects in Queensland, overseeing delivery from a civil engineering lens. You’ll guide the planning, design, and coordination of civil infrastructure for renewable projects—including access roads, pavements, hardstands, foundation interfaces, and drainage.
Advise clients on complex engineering projects from concept to delivery
Work with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges
Deliver high-quality advice that informs decisions
Coordinate civil works with key energy assets (wind, solar, BESS, substations)
Support construction planning and delivery with practical, buildable solutions
Contribute to resilient and innovative engineering solutions
Apply advanced analytics and optimisation to enhance performance
What you’ll bring
Relevant engineering qualifications and experience in Civil Engineering
Demonstrated experience delivering civil design for renewable energy projects, particularly Wind, Solar and/or BESS developments.
Strong expertise in civil infrastructure design, including access roads, pavements, hardstands, earthworks, and drainage.
Sound understanding of relevant Australian standards, design guidelines and client requirements in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
A track record of delivering practical, impactful outcomes
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
The ability to see the big picture and challenge assumptions
