About the Role
As requested directly by the participant, we are currently seeking Male support workers for assistance in the Southeast Suburbs.
As a Support Worker, you will assist individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and maintain independence through daily support and community participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong manual handling/mobility support and hoist experience
- Experience with pressure care, bowel care, and personal care
- Ability to follow care plans and structured routines
· Support with daily living tasks like cooking, meal prep and shopping;
· Assistance with Allied health appointments and ongoing set program.
What We Are Looking For
· A minimum of 10 months of hands-on experience providing tailored support to individuals with physical disabilities is essential for this role
- Understanding of ABI preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- An interest in cars, motorbikes, and sports, would be beneficial.
Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or related field
- Current driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check (within 12 months)
- Current manual handling certificate
- Working with Children's Check (Victoria)
- First Aid and CPR (HLTAID011 or HLTAID009)
- Valid working rights in Australia
- Willingness to travel as required
