As Australia's digital economy continues to accelerate, Siemens is playing a critical role in enabling the next generation of data centre infrastructure. Through our Electrification & Automation business, we deliver innovative power distribution, automation, digitalisation and energy solutions that help hyperscale, colocation and enterprise customers build resilient, sustainable and high-performing facilities.
Siemens are looking for a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our Electrification & Automation business, working closely with the Data Centre Vertical team, Senior Solution Architect, and key customers to design innovative, end-to-end solutions built around Siemens' market-leading technologies. You'll bridge business requirements and technical capabilities, ensuring solutions are scalable and aligned with modern data centre demands across sustainability, resiliency, and digitalisation.
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data centre infrastructure — working at the intersection of advanced engineering, digitalisation, and sustainability, powered by Siemens' global innovation leadership.
Lead the design of integrated data centre solutions leveraging Siemens' Automation and Electrification portfolio, developing end-to-end architectures across MV/LV electrical systems, control systems, and digital solutions tailored to each customer's requirements- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, consultants, and key stakeholders — presenting solution concepts and proposals to both technical and executive audiences, and translating complex business objectives into practical, value-driven designs
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, and the Data Centre Vertical team to co-create solutions aligned with strategic priorities, and support bid and proposal development including technical documentation and solution positioning
- Drive adoption of Siemens' digital and sustainable technologies, including intelligent power distribution, energy management platforms, building automation systems, and digital twin solutions
- Provide architectural oversight during project delivery to ensure solutions are implemented as designed, supporting risk mitigation and technical issue resolution throughout execution
You'll have proven experience in data centre design, engineering, or solution architecture, with strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure including LV/MV distribution, UPS, and backup systems, as well as automation, control systems, and energy efficiency practices. You're comfortable designing integrated, cross-domain solutions spanning electrical, digital, and automation, and you have the stakeholder engagement and communication skills to operate effectively at both technical and executive levels. Experience with hyperscalers, colocation providers, or enterprise data centres is highly regarded, and familiarity with Siemens technologies is an advantage. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline is required.
You stay ahead of industry trends — from hyperscale and edge computing to AI-driven infrastructure and sustainability initiatives — and you bring that knowledge to bear in every solution you design. You're collaborative by nature, equally comfortable working alongside customers, internal engineering teams, and global centres of excellence, and you take pride in delivering solutions that are as innovative as they are practical.
