More than a job: a mission
We’re looking for an Interface Manager - DRS/N&T based in Brisbane to be part of a major ETCS Level 2 signalling project for Queensland. In this senior role you will coordinate all technical interfaces with our DRS contractor and the CSN they are installing (Fibre network), prepare and coordinate the production of ICD’s (Interface Control Document) with the DRS contractor and with the CSN.
Your role, your impact
- Responsible for coordinating and preparing the Interface Matrix/ Interface Register / IDS and ICDs with the DRS subcontractor and the CSN
- Monitor progress of completion of the DRS interfaces (internal (alstom to DRS)) and external (DRS to Civil contractor)) and report on issues/blockers and actions to take
- Review planning of production of all Interface artefacts with the Planning Manager for the project
- Participate as required with the Integration Manager to the relevant Working Groups set by the SI
- Lead the technical discussions with the sub-contractors for the resolution of all Interface issues that may arise during design and construction
- Responsible for managing the review of the design documents from the DRS ensuring compliance with Contractual requirements and ICDs

What you bring
- Degree-qualified engineer with 2–5 years’ experience in systems engineering, interface management, or complex engineering project environments.
- Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage engineering change requests through to closure.
- Solid understanding of rail systems, engineering practices, and technical documentation.
- Experience developing and maintaining project dashboards, action registers, progress reports, and performance tracking tools.
- Technical knowledge of network and 5G radio systems, with FRMCS knowledge considered advantageous.
- Demonstrated people leadership capability, including coordinating teams, influencing stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and driving accountability to achieve project outcomes.
- Customer-focused and action-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Strong judgement, initiative, and ability to make sound decisions within delegated authority.
- Resilient and professional, with the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced and demanding project environments.
